A question about muffler

I am new... I would like to know if a 2g oem muffler can direct fit on a 1g dsm. Thanks for helping out.

Mufflers can be sawed off and welded onto anything, so roundabout... yes. But that's not saying that the piping will be routed correctly. What model of 2g exhaust are you looking at?

Regardless, the answer is most likely 'no', given that if it would fit 1g or 2g, it'd just list 'DSM exhaust', rather than '2g exhaust'.

Thanks for helping out.
I want to do that because I don't want to get a new one from dealer. If I look for a use one, they are mostly old and in bad shape......
How about cat-back exhaust? Any good advice? Thanks!

Advance Auto sells OEM style mufflers, and so do local muffler shops. But, since you're working on the exhaust, might as well just upgrade, its the 'IN' thing to do...
