I'm losing a quart of oil a week I am assuming it's being burned since I don't have any puddles under my car. I just cleaned the front of the block last week when I did the turbo over and found that the side near the timing belt is oily about 2-3 inches out from the edge and below the water pipe. So I have some kind of leak near there. What would that be though? The turbo line doesn't go near there. My oil and water aren't mixing and compression is good.

I also did a compression check the cylinders came out
1-166
2-160
3-158
4-162

My plugs are white around the anode and diode (those the right names?) but the ring around the outside is black and #2 cylinder is crusty not like metal flakes just caked black.

How can I check if it's valve seals? Could they possibly leak a quart a week

The car is also running the best it has since I got the car cause I replaced the old turbo damn was it cracked all over. I'm only running 12 PSI till I get some fuel mods going. My friend use to complain about getting smoked out when I floored it but I haven't had a comparison since the new turbo I'll get on that soon as possible.

smoke and or the color of the smoke will tell ya alot..
your turbo seal could be going and burning and/or rings shot , and/or valve seals

Turbo is brand new, compression is almost perfect so shouldn't that eliminate the possiblity for rings? How would I go about testing the valves with out ripping it apart?

Also I found a lot of oil in the line for the new MBC I just put in. It would be pretty rediculous to lose a quart a week through the side line on the valve cover I'll try getting a breather for it to help some what.

have you considered the possibility of a external leak??
It's not entirely impossible that you could have one, I had a vc leak, that would hardly show itself on the ground, the harder and longer I drove it the more it would leak.
Yet if I didnt drive hard 5-10 minutes before coming home, it might only leave a 2-3 drops of oil and sometimes none on my driveway. I did a compression test like you numbers were 155 across, and I was losing about .5 L every 10-15 days depending on driving.

out of the VC? You talking about the viscous coupleing? Isn't that part of the transmission how could I leak motor oil out of it?

I think he is talking about the Valve Cover.

doh I did just replace the seals on the valve cover and the plug wells and half moon on the exhaust cam. Below the valve cover is clean. Until like I described before below the water pipe and only 2-3 inches out from the t-belt side of the motor.
