A pillar Triple pod install question

I am looking at the triple pod from lotek. Bu the only thing i do not like is the fact i have to drill into my a pillar in order to install it. Has anyone, or know of anyway to install this unit or a simular qulity unit that you can install and have it secure, with out having to drill into your car? Is there not away to do this with a flat head bolt, and using a flat washer and nut with bolting it into a existing hole in the metal pillar?

It is a small hole behind the pillar. EVERY bolt hole in the car has bare metal threads. You will not create any problems. The pillar isn't going to rust off the car because you drilled a small diameter hole. When you install aftermarket parts there will always be modifications involved, if you don't like that than you need to change hobbies. Just do it and be done with it. You are worrying about something that doesn't happen.

It's not too bad man. Here's what I did (As long as your talking about a separate pod from the interior A-frame plastic piece):

drill a 1/8th inch hole thru the actual A-piller into the metal behind it. In the actual pod holder, drill a 3/8 hole and don't go thru anything else.

This way, you can screw the A pillar into the metal and cover up the screw. Get a 3/8 metal plug as shown and stick it in there, paint the same color as your interior and your good to go. It looks very clean actually. I do need to repaint my little plug but it still looks great right now.

Nothing bad is going to happen dude

You could buy the actual dual pillar that STM sells. I would have already but want a triple. Boost, AF, Volts

Are those 52mm or 60mm gauges?

60mm Defi Link BF gauges are in there, so 60mm They fit nice and snuggies

I wouldn't go as far as saying drilling a hole in the pillar is not doing it well though. Using a safe install and making sure it fits perfectly is doing it right IMO regardless of how your car is modified to implement the new gear. Afterall, it's aftermarket for a reason, it didn't come on the car originally. I'm not sure what brand mine was though since I got it from a friend.

Well all of your suggestions are good but I went down to pick-n-pull and got a matching pillar post of the same color and cut-n-shaped the two together and, as Kelly Bundy would say, vi-ola...looks factory...
