lethbridge,
hey guys. alright i just bought a new ECU for my car. it has been socketed and chipped with a stage 2 chip. now one of the things with this chip is that it has a + or - 5000 stutter box.
I'm new to the whole performance through computer technology but as i understand it, while the car is at a stop, the stutter box will actuvate at a certain rpm and retard the timing enough so that the combustion with happen outside of the cylinders in the exhaust manifold basically allowing the turbo to spool at a standstill.
My first question is, do i have to be at 5000 rpm's to activate this function? or is it adjustable and if so, how?
I just purchased a palmone zire 31 and have downloaded the Palmn'stein data logger, but i still need to buy the cable that connects the palm to the diagnostics port underneath the dash. does anybody know where i could find one?
I do also need the player program for my PC.
my other question is that when i finally do get the full data logger setup, how do i make changes to my fuel or engine management, such as my stutterbox?
If anybody has any good links to some solid information about data logging please let me know,
so in summary, just to be clear, i would like to know where i can get the cable that runs to my diagnostic port, the player program for my PC, and detailed info on how to make changes to engine or fuel management.
Thank you all!!
Jason.
