I just fillped and totled my truck. I am now looking at buying an affordable quick car. I have decided on a Eagle Talon tsi awd 5spd. I have some questions for you guys.

I now they have around 200 hp stock with the turbo. But wanted to no this.

How much hp can be expected from these basic mods?

1. K and N intke.
2. lightend pulleys.
3. decent exhuast. I dont no any "tuner" exhuast brands.
4. lightend flywheel.
And other mods along the way.

I was wondering what the stock psi is and at what rpm full boost is?

AWD the way to go or should i go with FWD?

Bigger turbos easy tof ind that bolt right up to replace stock turbo?

About what time (in the 1/4) should i expect stock?

stock psi on an awd talon should be about 14 psi. It should reach full boost at about 3000 rpm. I would definately go with the awd model if you are looking to build one up. A stock awd with a good driver should run about 15 sec flat in the quarter mile. It is very easy to get larger bolt on turbos. Just do some research on the site.

Yes, AWD is the way to go. If I were you though, DO NOT start modding until you do all the necessary maintenance, and do a boost leak test as you first "mod"

Stock psi will increase a bit as you open up the piping in and out, but on an absolutely stock system, a 1G should run between 8 and 10 and a 2G between 10 and 12.

Look into the staged mods list provided on this site. it will give you a good idea of the path to follow. Some of the mods you mentioned are not the best bang for the buck. Those are N/A car mods. Good piping in and out of the engine, fuel magagement and tuning for higher boost will get you MUCH more than a couple bolt-ons.

If the wastegate is working correctly you should see no increase in psi by changing pipes. Not that you won't feel a performance increase, but boost should stay the same untill you get somthing to control it.

Larger exhaust without porting and such can cause creep and often causes a higher realised pressure when boosting.

what do u mean by piping are u talking like bigger turbo pipes or exhuast or both? please alaberate on what yall say...and links to places on this site would be nice..

Larger exhaust, O2, Exhaust Manifold, Intake pipe, Intercooler piping, etc...

Scroll to the top and click on "Tech Guide."

As far as I know, you're right. A change in intercooler pipes shouldn't change stock boost levels. It may have a neglidgeable effect on spool time, but that's a different thing all together.
