This may be a stupid question, but would a 13:1 a/f ratio and 12 degrees of knock be enough to destroy pistons? Even if it wasn't run for very long, 1 3rd gear pull and 2 1st, 2nd gear pulls.

Why would you want to run your car with that much knock for? Your not going to make any power and the car is going to feel like crap. Why risk it to be honest?

I presume you mean 12 degrees of knock retard, which is about 34 1g knock sum.

Whether it's enough to do damage totally depends on the rest of the setup. Pump gas or race gas is very important, and power level is important.

On a car making decent power, definately.

thanks kpt4321 for the answer. the reason i asked was because im trying to find out if that is a single cuz of the damage i have on some pistons. somehow i screwed up and ended up with that a/f ratio didn't realize till i looked at my log. :barf:
