a 97-99 Eclipse Front bumper...

I'm considering getting a Eclipse front bumper to replace my Talon's front bumper, and I was wondering -- is there any thing I need to get, to make sure it will fit? I just want the bumper to fit, nothing more, nothing less. A 97-99 bumper with 96 Talon headlights.

YOu don't need 97+ headlights. You will be fine with your headlights there will just be a little gap. But other than that it will bolt right up.

Are you sure I thought I remember seeing a pic of L2R car and there was a gap when he put on his 97+ front bumper.

Older style headlights with newer style bumper won't work...the headlight is to long to fit in the bumper.

that's right the older style headlights were wider. My friend put 97 headlights on a 96 bumper and had a 1" gap on each side ... the other way around it wouldn't work.

no fenders are the same.

Yep, you definitely need the 97-99 headlights. The 95-96 ones are wider and won't fit the 97+ bumper.

looks very nice ... but I never understood. All you people that do the talon to eclipse conversion ... why not just buy the eclipse to begin with

Well , I bought the Talon new in 95 so that eclipse model(97-99) was not out yet and also eclipse was not available in Canada...

some of us talon owners are having trouble finding bumpers that are in good condition...

-97-99 Eclipse Sideskirts 6 pieces (Skirts and Door caps)
*95-96 Door Caps will work!
-97-99 Eclipse Front Bumper
-97-99 Rear Bumper
-97-99 Reverse Lights

To just remove the bumper...
