Hondata gasket testing is also out. Looks like I'm the only one left standing.

Good to hear you're okay.

Ouch. That really sucks. Glad to hear you are okay.

She was a beautiful car. RIP I guess.

Sorry to hear it happened to a local guy.

There are good advise here, but it depends on where you can park it.

If you do decide to part it, sell me the antenna and the pair of clips that hold the trunk bonnet up.

Word is in from the appraiser.
Total loss.
I can buy it back for 1,125.
they say I can have 60 days to take the mods off the car (so long as I have the stock part)
they will hold the 1,125 untill I return the car to them.
and the worst part of the story so far is...
they value my car at $8k.

Today is the second worst day of my life. The worst was 5 days ago.:barf:

Hey dude. I remember seeing your car at MOD and I was taking pictures of Galant Vr-4s at MOD with you. Your car was one of the cleanist GSX's out there. I'm sorry to hear that all that hard work went down the dump tube like nothing. Good luck in the future endeavors man.:)

Damm I would hate to live were you do.

My GSX KBB's for 12k

But I f'd up and took a downhill corner at high speeds.
Owned my right side, I got a body shop to put he back together.
But she will never be the same again.

Hey Dan sorry to hear that I met you at one of your meets and the car was clean man really sorry to hear that but like everyone else said I would buy it back and part it out and rebuild......just my .02cents:D

Hey Dan, didn't you pretty much remove all of your aftermarket parts prior to this accident? I remember that you had stripped it down to stock in preparation for your smog testing and I thought you were waiting to get Dyno results back from after your E3 Intake Mani install.

Tre-
Thanks for the kind words buddy.

Derek-
It was back to the way I usually run it, but there were a lot of mods that I had sitting around that I never got to use on it. I had returned to normal before the first dyno though.
I am going to take delivery of it in about an hour actually. I'll be back with picks :(

sorry that this happened to you. you will find another good car just like it. what i would do is after you get your money from insurance, go buy it back for a few hundred bucks and use everything off of it on a new one.

USAA fawked me over too on my totaled 95 that you see in my av. I had to argue with them to get 4k and I bought it back for 700. You might want to show them that these cars are selling for more. You don't have to agree on the 1st figure they give you. Its worth it to the buy the car back if you have the room to keep it somewhere and part it.

Cheap ballpark prices:
Engine: 400
Trans: 400
tcase: 200
seats: 200
rear LSD: 200
cluster: 100
Thats $1300 right there not including other parts that can be sold.

I'm assuming that (along with the pictures you've taken) that this means that you've decided to buy it back and part it out??

Since I made that bracket for my 2g coil pack, I won't be needing and EVO CP anymore, but I sure could use new brake and clutch fluid reservoir brackets. Mine are holding on by a thread (a rusty thread at that).
