'99 White Face Gauges with White LED's?

Has anyone tried this? I searched but it seems all those with the white face gauges are using colored LED's (including myself, I'm using red). Those who are using white LED's all seem to have the standard cluster with the black background.

Eric did his '99 cluster with white LED's. It looks ok, but the red of the redline area comes out looking pinkish.

i have 99 gauges with red leds...i love em. I used an LED strip instead of replacing each light bulb. And for some reason, i cannot find ONE picture of how i did it, or the final product.


And the 99 gauges are more of a silver than white.

I looked through his project thread and his tech article but in those pics he is using the standard black faced gauges. My white face gauges with the red led's looks very cool but it is monochromatic. The white led's look great with the standard gauges but not sure how it will look with the white/silver face gauges.

Correct. I don't think he has pictures of his cluster yet. I'll see if he can grab some soon.
