Hey everyone, Im new to the site.

Just a little bit about myself...I drive a 99 Zx2 for money reasons, I got it running 14's and have some decent mods done to it. The Eclipse is my Fiance's. she got it a little over a year ago, its an auto  . Ive done some little stuff to her car, like intake and a catback exhaust, nothing too big. We got the car and it had about 42k miles on it, its got about 45 now. The person who used to own it was a woman so I had to do alot of maintenance things to the car. I just got done replacing all the rotors and break pads, and the fuel filter, sparkplug wires and sparkplugs.

Now there is a problem where I am not sure what the hell is going on...Hopefully maybe some of you guys can help me out.

When me or my girl is driving the car, all of a sudden its like it loses the gas pedal...U can floor the car but it wont give any gas. We have to pull over to the side of the road, park the car, turn it off, then turn it back on for the gas pedal to function again...

The other day i was in stop and go traffic on the highway and it did this. The car started shaking really bad like it was going to turn off but it wanted to stay on...It was wierd.

I stopped and got some fuel injection cleaner yesterday, thought it couldnt hurt. But the first thing that came to my head was a fuel issue. To me it sounded like for some reason it just wasnt getting any fuel, and I just replaced the fuel filter...that was a pain. But now im thinkin maybe fuel pump, or maybe bad injectors...Im not sure.

Maybe this has happened to someone else or maybe u guys can give me some insight...any input would be greatly appreciated, Thanks guys! :thumb:

if you are pushing on the gas pedal and nothing is happening i would automaticly say you have some kind of snag in the throttle cable. check it out and post again.
