I have read that the gst and gsx are different as far as what makes the fuel level gauge work. Is it the arm on the fuel pump assembly or it seems there is a second thing in the tank on the drivers side? Which one is for the gauge they both have floats in them. And I didn't see anything in vfaq. Thanks

Figured it out from another site

My car is doin the same thing when it reaches 1/4 tank its empty. At half tank my gas light will come on

That would be the float getting caught on the inside of the tank.

For it not working at all, I'd start with the sending unit.
