Hello. I just picked up a 98 Tsi Awd Talon and I have a question.(Yes I have searched) My car is all stock with the exception of a K&N FIPK and I'm wondering if that should make the turbo and stock BOV sound louder or am I hearing a possible boost leak? Before I bought this one I had driven other stock DSM's and none of them had this noticable of a sound in the car. If you could post any input you have on my question that would be great. Thanks.

Removing the stock air box will make the BOV louder but that does not mean that there is no boost leak.

You should review all regular maintenance and consider replacing the rubber parts on your Talon. A BLT is just part of normal maintenance on a DSM.

Enjoy. The 1998 AWD Talons are a rare item. A survivor is even rarer.
My Talon has 190,000 miles on it now and after all of the mods it's going strong.
