Resolved 98 flashable ECU into a 96 Talon

Hey guys. I've just purchased a 98 flashable blackbox ECU into my 96 Talon. I've been reading through posts on the forums but nobody has seemed to come up with a definite answer on what is needed to be swapped for the ecu to run properly? I know I could swap the CAS but I would rather not spend anymore money if possible. Also, I wanted to know of there was a way to just invert the CAS in ECUFlash instead of swapping pin wires, or plugs, or any of the mentioned possible solutions in other posts.

I am not 100% sure but I think there were no flashable ecu in 98 maybe the one you bought had been converted can you come up with the number on it.

Ignore the last post. He has no idea what he is talking about...

You will need to either swap the swap spark plug wires or swap the CAS output wires at the ecu. Stock plug wires goes 4123 you'll need to do 2314.

Just as a warning you will constantly be showing a CEL for a missing scale sensor. It could prevent you from passing State emission testing.

Thanks for the input. So all I have to do us swap the cas output wires at the ecu? Do you know what wires those are?

Is there a write up of this procedure anywhere in these forums? I too purchased a '99 flashable ecu to install in my 96 gs-t. If there is not a write up or "how to" on this procedure can someone please try there best to systematically explain the procedure. If not, then what shall I do with this '99 ecu if it is potentially useless to me.....thanks for any input on this topic

All I did was unplug the old ECU, plug in the new one, swap spark plug wires around, Installed the flash plug to pin 79 (I think), and that's it. It works on my 95 with a 6 bolt swap.
