So the AC in my car blew cold as a freezer and was blowing the heater relay fuse about once per drive when I had the AC on. Well I put a 30 amp fuse in it because it's hotter than hell here in NV and now the ac is only cold on the second fan setting. It's a 1998 Eclipse GS Spyder with the 2.4L, all stock.

There is no heater relay fuse because there is no heater relay.

This will probably be what you need to trace down the problem.

Probably a dying blower motor drawing too many amps and turning too slowly.

You never know what might be loading up the blower motor. This was our fun find this spring. Blower still ran. No air moving and a nasty smell.

OP: Don’t forget that, also behind the glove box, is the blower motor resistor module. They do, eventually, wear out. Replaced ours last fall after smelling traces of smoke and losing the lowest fan speed.
