I Have a quick question.

Since I got a new EPROM ECU for my 97 GST to run DSMLink my car seems to back fire alot now in higher rpms when I really get on the gas. I switched the firing order for the plugs because of the new ECU. But should I also get new plug wires for a 1G to go along with this new EPROM setup? Is it because I am running my non-eprom ecu wires with an eprom causing all the backfiring?

Do I have to do anything else when swithing to an EPROM? Also if none of this makes a difference what else could this be.

Thanks

that could bw it. I didnt check that when i installed the ecu. I will hook up my laptop to the car later and see if that is it.

When you start up DSMLink the first time it asks you 1G or 2G, when you pick 2G it auto clicks the invert cas button

yeah so the invert cas button was selected....what else could be causing this backfiring? could it be my wires?

I have a 98 gs-t w/95 eprom and i had misfiring at high rpms so messed around with the wires and it runs perfect with my new firing order its 1432.
