I have a 1995 Mitsubishi gs that i am restoring and wanting to switch out a front bumper from a 97-99 eclipse. What all is need to switch these bumpers out? Please inform me on this conversion on the forum, or at my email [email protected] .

You need the bumper, and headlights (unless you want a slight gap from the 95's). Search, there is a wealth of conversations about things that you'll run into when you pull the bumper-but it's not hard at all.

No problem, as a follow up I remember reading a slightly different method than the normal one described here:
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=203226
(or you can click over to the appearance sub forum and read the one that talks about the 97-99 bumper & sideskirts)
That should give you the link to the FAQ w/pics for how to take off the bumper, as well as discussing how to do it a slightly different way so that you don't have to fish around under the headlight.
I took my 2gb bumper off the front of my talon in no time at all-and if you're doing the swap, I would look hard at the headlight swap too-it's worth it in my opinion. I switched over to black housing projectors and it looks pretty good.

What do you mean? You must be thinking the opposite, if the 2gb headlights are on the 2ga bumper there will be a small gap. But the 2ga lights on a 2gb the corners of the light will overlap with the curves in the middle of the bumper.

Which lights go on which? 97-99 2ga and 2gb for 95-96? Or the other way around? Well since we are talking about the headlights right now, which ones will look the best with the conversion? :dsm:

2Ga = 96-95
2Gb = 97-99

If you have a 2ga/95-96 bumper, you want the matching headlights. If you have 2gb/97-99 bumper, you want the matching headlights as well.

If you have a 2ga/95-96 bumber you can use 2gb/97-99 headlights, but there will be a gap, and it doesn't look good. So i say just get the right ones.

I wouldn't say that, I have the 2gB lights on my car and my bumper is 2ga, I think it looks much better than the 2ga lights. Even if that gap is there. So obviously, it's a matter of opinion.

Any of you guys want to post pics of the conversions? Maybe it will help me get a better mind of what i like better. WTF

Well for 2ga lights on a 2ga bumper, you can see in Defiants Sig. photo. For 2gb lights on a 2gb bumper, look at any 97-99, for 2gb lights on a 2ga bumper go to this link, I posted my pics there awhile back. :thumb:
