97 Eagle Talon

About 2 weeks ago I bought a 97 Eagle Talon for 1500. Ad said all it needed was a new water pump and a battery. A friend of mine said that I needed to buy the parts and put in wrench time and he would help me through doing for free. So that got done. Well I also noticed that there was a popping noise on the drivers side when I made a left hand turn. Well I have come across what is doing it but I don't know what the heck it is. If someone could help me figure out what this bent part is, so I can replace it, would be greatly appreciated. This is on the front drivers side in behind the tire. There is tons of play in the bar.

That would be the OUTER and INNER tie rods, that need to be replaced. The KNOCK noise is possibly a CV shaft that needs to be replaced or Wheel hub as well. You need to start from Outside to the inside..

Which means now you also need a good ole alignment after the tie rods are replaced

Yeah kinda figured as much. It at least explains why the tires are wearing on the inside. Now just hopefully once this is fixed there will be no more unexpected issues and she will last until November when I can sink a couple of grand into her. Gotta love student loans .
