97 Eagle talon n/t misfire

Hello, everyone. My name is Matt. I've recently picked up my second dsm. Yes it's a non turbo, 5 speed. It's bone stock with nothing done to it at all. I just bought it for $950 cash. Now here's the problem, I bought it with a misfiring engine. The kid I bought it off said he replaced the coil pack and the spark plugs but aperently they havn't been changed because I changed them both tonight and it still has a misfire. Now I have a few questions, since there is no check engine light on and it's misfiring could it be the fuel pump not pumping enough fuel into the engine.

It sputters and misfires really bad and under full throttle it will just die.

Any input would be great.

Have you tried a compression test? Also, have you taken a multimeter to your engine to test and see if you have enough voltage? I would start there before taking the fuel pump out...

I would check out the fuel injectors before the fuel pump. A clogged injector can cause a misfire.

I am having a random misfire also, changed coil, plus, wires, have a wally pump.....who knows. I know I dont haha. Maybe the stock ecu doesnt like the low fuel psi with the dsm 450s and the sfmu
