Just like the title says I need to know whats all involved in putting a 2g turbo 4g63 into a 1g non turbo 4g63 equipped car... I searched but didn't come up with anything i was looking for... I got the 1g for $300 with a blown motor and i have access to an entire 96 turbo fwd talon including tranny, ecu, wiring harness, etc.. for really really cheap from a friend that recently got into an accident. I plan on selling the car after the swap is done so i'm not really looking at going for a 6 bolt. Anyways, i've been reading about the 1g n/t to turbo conversion but it seems all the info is for 6bolts. Can I use the 1g n/t ecu and wiring harness? or would it all need to be swapped from the 2g? Will the 2g maf have to be swapped over? will it plug in to the 1g n/t maf harness? What about the o2 sensor wiring? Any information I can get would be great.

Thanks!

You have to swap the harnesses and the ecus.....then just follow the rest of the conversion in the tech article

Turbo Engine Swap
This project is extremely time consuming, complex and expensive due to the amount of parts needed to perform the task. The parts alone can range upwards of $5000. The basic parts needed are: Engine, transmission, ECU, intercooler (and piping), fuel pump, complete exhaust system, and possibly a few more things not mentioned. The two options above are definitely better choices for the less experienced. Consider the cost of simply buying a factory turbocharged DSM before attempting this swap.
