96 GSX rear defroster

Alright, I've looked up what to look for to fix a bunk rear defroster. The button lights up, the fuse is good, and I hear the relay click when I hit the button.

So, it has to be something at the window. Your supposed to check the terminals to see if they are getting power, but I don't know what ones to check. They're two on the drivers side, and one on the passenger, which leads on a voltmeter do i hold to which terminals on the window?

I don't know what people mean when they say hot or cold side on the defroster.

If anyone can help that would be great, because I can't see anything out my window at night with all this cold weather.

Mine doesn't work either. Looks like someone had scraped something off the window with a razor blade and took half the defroster with it.

check them all, multi-meter to all possible combination of polarity, you should get continuity between at least 2 of them. Unless of course one of the strands is broken inside the window or at the edge. hope this helps.

Alright, I'll just try a bunch of combos. I'm pretty sure its one of the terminals because all the defroster wiring is good.

You might want to just check and make sure that everything is plugged in and not broken.
The bass in my car, snapped the metal off my rear defroster were it plugs in before.
