rear defroster dosnt work

when i click the button on my dash for the rear defroster it dosnt light up and the rear window dosnt defrost. if anyone knows how to fix this problem please pm me. thanks

First I would check your fuses.
It is most common for people th scrape the electrodes off the window but I don't know if this would effect the light on the switch. Make sure both clips are hooked up to the back window and that the wires on the window are undamaged. If they are damaged you can find repair kits at autoparts stores. If these are not the problem You will need to talk to someone who knows more about the system than I.
Does the switch click and stay in?
I have to push mine pretty hard and several times before it will come on come to think of it. Your switch could be bad as well.

take the switch out and test it wit ha multi meter... i sounds like t he switch is bad to me if it's not the fuse
