Hey there I am getting a 96 Eclipse GS-T shipped from ohio to idaho tommorow and I wanted some other peoples opinons on what is should do first...... I know I want a new exhaust new intake and BOV but i was wondering on what brand I should get.... and then on the exhaust what kind is better... catback or turboback... i want one that is kinda quiet. and then what kinda of downpipe should i get? Thanks

I suggest doing a compression test, boost leak test and a complete tune up before you start modding.

Cool Thanks.... should the compression be around 150psi? or what..... and how do i do a boost leak?

2G should be around 178 with service limit of 133.

Compression test:

Boost leak test:

Remember to repeat this test later during modification after ANY work done to the intake tract, absolutely no visual inspections. The false sense of security after a boost leak visual inspection is on top of the turbo killer list.

After everything checks out, you can then follow this tuning guide. Have fun.
