96 chasis problems?

i know it was a problem telling my friend who has a fast as yada yada 03 cobra that i was getting a 96 gst when he retaliated with a fierce, "dont get it man, dont get it. those things are crap!" i said its the same thing as another friend of our who kept up with you. after telling him it was a new motor from a 98 he replied, "the 96s had terrible chasis problems." i said well than so does our friends 98 cause its the same thing. and he said no it was just a bad year. is he jealous that i will be faster with a lower costing car? or is there really a problem with teh 96 chasis? i have never heard of such a thing. btw, hes the type of guy who must be better than everyone and if someone beats his cobra, hes gunna need more money to build it farther or else he will constantly whine and moan!

There is no chasis prob that im aware of. (esp not one thats only with 96's )

no chasis problems my friends had a major salt issue around the strut tower and that was it
