95 Talon ESi, too much?

Ok, I've been looking for a DSM for a while. I have the money,but haven't found anything. But, I was driving today, and me and my dad stopped and looked at a 1995 Talon ESi with 142,xxx miles, for $2950. I thought it was a little over priced. It had a muffler, and that was pretty much it. Opinions would be appreciated, thanks

IMO you could find a good 1g turbo for not much more than you would be payig for that car. I only paid a total of 900 dollars for both of my 1gs and they both came with perfect interior and exterior. One had a fuel pump that had seized because the owner let it sit too long with fuel in the tank. The otherone needed a CAS. Check out the classifieds section on this forum. There are several good DSMs on there for sale.

I also think you could find a good N/T 1g for less than that if you do not want a turbo. I can't see myself paying that much for a N/T withthat kind of mileage. Just my .02, if you like the appearance of the car and have it checked out by a mechanic, then go for it but offer them around 2500 or less to start with. Nver pay the exact list price without an attempt to get the cost down. I talked a guy down almost 4 grand on my F250.

thats way too much for a n/t. I'd have a had time spending $3000 on a 95 tsi fwd.

You can get a 2g TSi AWD for that sometimes, an automatic at least. Check out the classifieds. I just saw a few in there in that range, if they are best offers don't be afraid to ask.

seems really high for a n/t car with almost 150,000 miles!

Theres some nice 2g's for sale just got to look around i drove to New York for mine.

I dont know if your looking for a turbo or non turbo, 1g or 2g but my friend bought a 97 gsx with 120,000 for about 2 grand more, like i said im not sure your price range or your prefrence but keep searching!
