95 Talon ESI HELP

I am thinking about buying this talon esi, It has rust on it and havent went to actually check it out yet, but i was wondering if anyone knew about how much it would cost to get this rust removed.

They also want $1000 for it, it has 160K and they said nothing wrong with tranny or engine, If this is true is it worth $1000 even with the rust?

The rust can be taken care of...if you do research you can do it yourself ... if they say nothing is wrong with it and they want $1000 i say thats not bad at all...

not bad. the hood, if not rusted thorugh, can be just a sand down and primer with rust preventer. Ther botttom of the quater panels i would cut out and replace it new OEM sheet metal or form some metal yourself. probably about 500-800 from a body shop with paint.

No to be a dick but i got my 96 Talon ESi for $900 with 70k on it. Granted it was from a junk yard and needed the suspetion replaced, but it ran and drove without a problem.

Make sure you check the strut towers under the hood! If they have rust you have a problem. If the strut towers are rusted I would say pass, no matter the price.
