I have read through ALOT of threads and decided to stop reading and post my question!

I have a 95 2.0 Non Turbo Talon Manual Tranny

I have been having this problem with my car reving up to around 3000 RPM when I push in the clutch to stop. Then idles down to only 1500 RPM. I know it is supposed to be around 700-750 at warm idle.
I tried the old way of checking the codes with the blinks of the check engine light. It blinked as follows.....
1....2....2....5....5....5
What the heck are those numbers?
So I used a scan tool and it came up as P1294---Idle target not reached within 200 RPM Manual Transmission (Chilton Manual)
I went to Autozone and their computer read the following for the code...
Number 2 bank high side air fuel not correct....
It had a junk IAC so I replaced that, but still does it.
What do I do now? That is the only code it throws.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

that code is for the IAC motor, and it has a shorted circuit. did you have autozone erase the code, or take the negative battery cable off for a few minutes, and put it back on to get rid of the code, because if its still there, it might think the problem is still there, or could be your TPS. i replaced my TPS, and when i replaced it, i swear my IAC went, so i had to replace both of them, but you say you did get a new IAC?

:D Hey man, it could be cheaper than you think. When I threw that code, I checked a bunch of crap. Turns out I had a vacuum leak, and a bad pcv. 2.50 to fix it and runs great now. Hope this fixes it for you. :D :dsm:

I did replace the IAC and it is still doing it. I will be removing it and begin to check more indepth for vacuum leaks. The instructions for the IAC tells about adjustment, those should not need to be adjusted right? Fords are just plug, bolt on and go. When I install anything electrically I always unplug my battery, and fortunately the computer resets in this car. I have only had 3 Chrysler Vehicles in my life and they all were full of vacuum lines. My Jeep, Shadow Shelby Z, and now my Talon.
I actually need to pick up a new PCV though.

Replaced PCV and put in a new TPS, things were looking up idling around 1000 so I drove it around town and as the car warmed up, it started doing it again, up to around 3500 when I began to slow down then back to around 2000 at idle.

Still have not fixed the problem, I have searched and searched...nothing...I think it is simpler for a person that really gets these cars.
What about this? I noticed the other day that my mastercylinder for my clutch was really low, so I filled it up. Then yesterday it was low again. Could this have some vacuum problem that would cause my car to do this high idling thing? I know that none of the clutch lines go internally into the transmission they only route around the side of the tranny and into the slavecylinder right? It has to be going somewhere and I have not found any leaks.

if i remember correctly it has to do with the map sensor as well.... all of my non turbo or 420a's did this... It didnt throw a code but it would just idle high until the car came to a stop, to me I didnt worry about it... Oh yeah dont forget if you used an OBD2 scanner i dont think it will work with the 95 ecu.... I mean ya did the key dance and I think 12 or 122 is the start and 55 is the end meaning it will blink 1 time then two times then the code then blink 5 times and 5 times again to signal that there are no more codes.
