95 gst

Just picked up a 1995 eclipse gst for 250 bucks. the car still runs and everything clutch slips a little wanted to know if i went wrong on it has 160000 on it and i am goin to redo motor and bore .020 over couldnt find a good rebuild kit so can someone please HELP

Depends on what your wanting to do with the car. I would say a tuneup and maybe a clutch. BTW thats an awesome deal for that price.

i would say i want around 350hp and maybe more later down the road and about the clutch i have read about xtd stage 3 clutches how are they

I called a performance shop and they told me dont go anything past stage 2. so i would stick with the stage to. And i start the rebuild if i was you. your lucky. people usually junk cars and get 300. great deal for you.

so stage two xtd clutch is cool and when they said 250 i was like wow sold wish it would have been gsx but it still will be fast will put pics up later

Search around on the site for the xtd clutches. Most people using a stage 2 or 3 have had problems but as soon as they go to the stage 4 unsprung puck disk they love the setup. It might give you a few problems when first driving it since it's a puck disk instead of a full face street style disc, but you can learn quickly how to handle it and it will handle alot of power and abuse when you start beating on it pretty hard. Buddy of mine has one in a 360awhp and 347ft/lb torque 96 gsx and it is great. I will be putting one in my 98 in a couple of weeks.

If i were you i would go ahead and get a stage 3 clutch. I had an off-brand stage 3 and it slipped bad within the first year. Get a stage 3 zoom clutch! I have one now and its awesome. Zoom Sport Compact Stage 3 Clutch Sets F3-131
