whats up guys I bought a 95 eclipse project shell. I haven't had a dsm in over 15 years but glad Im back in one. Ok so I bought a 99 engine from another eclipse, as for the cas, can I just cut the connector from the 99 harness that goes to the cas and wire it into the 95 harness, the wires and colors all match. I also have a 95 ecu and a 97 ecu so I can use whichever would be easiest for the swap. The car will mainly be stock so don't wanna have to get dsmlink unless its absolutely necessary

If you have a 1995 eprom ecu you will want to use that computer, especially if you plan on modding the car and using dsmlink. Refer to this link for all CAS info: https://www.roadraceengineering.com/1gcasin2g.htm - If you are not familiar with this site it offers a lot of useful information.

That's the thing in my post I stated I'm not going to be modding the car and yes ecu is eprom but I'm using a 99 cas that's why I asked if a 97 ecu would be easier plug n play. I am not wanting to upgrade to a 1g cas that's why I asked if just adding the 99 connector inplace of the 95 cas connector will work

the simplest thing to do would be to use the 97 ecu then you don't need to swap plug wires and injector pins.

and yes, you can cut off the 95 cam sensor plug and wire in the 99 connector. just be sure to leave enough wire on the 99 connector so it will reach existing cam sensor wires.
