95 afpr install help

I'm working on a 95 Mitsubishi eclipse gs. I have a new engine in it with all forged internals Hahns portfueler system. T3/t4 turbo. I'm installing an afpr but don't know how to come at this since the stock for is on the the end of the fuel rail. How do I disable that for and install the new afpr? Any help would be great thanks.

You will disable the factory fpr but leave it in the rail. Then install your new fpr in the return line. If you need to know how you disable the factory fpr read this link.

Think about how the system works for a sec. The fuel pump is always pumping so in order to build pressure in the line there has to be a restriction(fpr). The fpr is a pressure valve and since you want the pressure in the fuel rail you put the fpr after it. Anything after the fpr is not pressurized. Put the fpr about 1 to 2 feet after the rail. You may also google fuel system basics to get a good understanding of the system as a whole.
