i have a 97 eclipse gst that crank wallked and i bought a engine with the black valve cover and im guessing its 95-96 and it has the cas behind the cam gear and my engine had it on the other side and i read that the engines are different 2ga and 2gb
i wanna know if i can just split the wires and put them together?
or do i have too chnage the firing order?
i prefer advice from someone that has done this or fixed this but anyone can help
i dont want to change my cam so please let me know asap on some wiring stuff i can do with pictures if possible
im only 19 but i just put the engine in the car but dont know what to do about this ### i read different things on different places
this is one i read and sounded like the easiest
"I have done this before when I put a 95 head into my 97 gst. I had to splice the wires together in order to use the stock connection. It is pretty easy to do. All you need to do is get 3 wires long enought to go from the wiring harness on the passenger's side of the engine to the connector on the sensor on your head which is on the driver side of the engine. You will want to use those in-line connectors to splice in the wires so you dont have to cut any connectors off. Then just match the colored wires from one side to the other with the extra wire and you will then have no trouble starting up the engine since it will now get the signal it needs to fire the plugs."
