94 talon?????

ok guys back again...so im looking to by a 1994 talon non turbo fwd 5 speed for a dd look really good no rust 600 bucks. anyway he says it puffs blue/gray smoke but it dose run???what is the prob and is it worth getting can i drive it this way or will it just got to sh>t and die???let me know thanks

How bad does it puff. And I am pretty sure the blue/grey smoke would be oil. And that could be any number of things wrong. Rings, guides, headgasket.....

yeah not sure thinkin...bad because of the low price sounds like something i should stay away from. he said it does not over heat at all? just a really good shell. i know that rings you have to pull the motor on this on i belive. anther ? hot much work is it to make an auto 5 speed i mean just have to run the clutch lines??? and bolt a 5 on? found the car i want more than any 92 tsi auto rebilt motor and trans ELECTRIC BLUE!

There is more to it than just running a clutch line. You also have to change out the whole shifter assembly and shifter cables. I haven't ever done a auto-to-5 speed swap, but those are just a few thing i can name off the top of my head. Anyway, if your looking to just have a little DD then you can rebuil the engine fairly cheap. I wouldn't go super cheap, but it wouldn't take to much money to have running good if all it is doing is blowing smoke.

ok thats what i thought off the top of your head how much to rebuild? or how much to do a trans swap?

I don't know about the trans swap becuase you have to buy the trans and everything else to make it work. you can do a decent rebuild for a couple hundred bucks. At least I did.
