I ordered pistons, *ITM* but when i received them in the mail there was no rings.

So i called the place back and they sent my HASTINGS rings.

My question is, can I use these rings on ITM pistons, and if turbo and non-turbo rings are the same, on the HASTINGS website it said that it was for inl. turbo 4g63, but I don't know if that included non-turbo 93-94 4g63 or not.

THE pistons I have a are supposed to be 7 bolt non-turbo pistons.

well, it kinda does... if he only had a 93-94 turbo piston ring ID.... I'm sure they are different... man.... i tell you its been such a hell getting the right stuff with the vendor I'm going through. Now I have to call back and get different rings. When I FINALLY have all my parts I am going to do a very good review on this vendor, I am very upset over this.

1. They Lost my crank in mail * probaly kept it cause it was in perfect condition* they sent me a rusted up pos. *which had to be repolished cause of rust on journals*
2. They hung pistons on my rods that I didn't want on them cause i ordered turbo pistons to be installed by myself. So now I have a choice to ruin $180 piston set or just keep on the non-turbo pistons and run non-turbo.
3. Now this whole ring thing, i order ITM pistons, they don't send me the rings, then later they send me some different manufactor rings... I AM CALLING TOMORROW I AM SO FED UP WITH THIS.

Why do I small a very very very large barrel of WHOOP ASS being opened on them. If you could id tell em to turn the damn things sideways and shove them straight up their sorry ass LOL.

To make this better heres a short story with just the crank...

1. They get my crank, guy signs for it.
2. I call back 1 week after its delivered to see if they have grinded it yet.
3. Guy says they dont got it!!!!!!!!!!!, im like dude U SIGNED FOR IT UPS SAID YOU DID.
4. Goes in the back and finds it and says it will be done probaly tomorrow.
5. I call back 2 weeks later, guy says the crank just got shipped out along with my other stuff.
6. 2 days later i get a bunch of crap and NO CRANK.
7. I call back the guy says the crank was never shipped or grinded cause I didnt pay for it.
8. I FREAKED OUT and told him the order NUMBER, he said OK, well your crank is here and we will get on it.
9. He tells me its done and the grinds were like .75 MAIN .50 RODS.
10. LIKE 2 days later i get some rusted up pos crank in horrible shipping packaging that has a .25mm MAIN and .25 ROD

its pretty typical to get different names with new pistons... when i got my topline pistons they came with TRW rings... they were gapped correctly according to each piston, etc...

I'm pretty sure the N/T pistons have smaller thickness, and are inferior to turbo rings to withstand boost pressure...

OH GOD THAT WOULD = death for them dude. I sure as heck don't like someone messing with my crap. Especially the money part when they tried to say you didn't pay. Id be asking for a discount on the work or something for all that BS.

Exactly * BELOW * Thats what i figured So now these rings are useless to me cause they probaly wont fit, and even funnier ill have to get pics tomorrow... The NON-turbo pistons i got compared to my turbo pistons, the ring lands on the non-turbos look alot lower from the top, which i thought was very off??? they also have a very deep bowl in the middle of the piston to, i think deeper then my 8.5: 1 turbo pistons... I AM SO UPset right now... i feel depressed i got little time to get this build done and this VENDOR has been the worst....Idk what to do guys..... i was going to do a non-turbo to turbo conversion but screw it now.... I just want my engine to run and drive my talon again.

I ordered ITM PISTONS AND ITM RINGS OK, I GOT I assume ITM pistons and no rings... then i get these random HASTINGS RINGS that are apprently for a turbo 4g63. WHAT IS THAT!

K, Gotta wait for school to open back up tomorrow so I can look at them again, But i saw it today and was like O K????

Before I go and BASH the hell out of them. I'm going to call them tomorrow and see what they wanna do about the rusty crank i got, the wrong rings, and possible wrong pistons.... I will request for a refund of money for the polished crank. I will ask for them to take back the turbo pistons, rings, and rod/main bearings. If all goes well i may not release the name, it all depends on how they handle these problems tomorrow but I am calling for sure tomorrow and will update this. Ill tell you what if they bull**** me im going to drive the 200 miles AND make sure I GET THE RIGHT SHIT, bring about 5 of my buddies to.

good for you on the checking clearances and whatnot... IT IS the key to sucess when assembling an engine... i wouldn't get upset over it though, it happens everyday in a machine shop... just don't piss em off or they might mess up your order again

If they mess up my order again. Lets just say I'm glad i have no previous violent history.

No you see, I would understand if they made a mistake here and there, maybe once or twice... but this is ridiculous, I mean i got lied to on the phone daily, they make it sound like there doing there service themselves, then when you call back all pissed they are like O That's the machine shops fault, i don't work back there... its like really wtf... I like how one guy said he did the crank himself grinding it that day, then 2 weeks later supposedly it was never DONE!!!!!!!! ??? LIAR LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE.

IM GIVING THEM 1 LAST CHANCE.

Ive spent like $1500 and get shitty service and am lied to. Top it off my build is ruined because of them... Like i said I just wanna drive my NT DSM again, i have a turbo mx-6 which i can play with and another talon i can build later... :) im trying to stay happy right now.

I still have to check on the pistons but. I just got word from hastings.

Kyle, the 2C4768 020 is the correct set for the Turbo and the Non 4G63

So i assume i can run these. This from the piston ring manufactuor themselves.

Made my morning :) but still need to figure out whats up with them weird pistons.

Just so everyone knows it was DSM GRAVEYARD in kalamazoo. Never going through them again... Happy I finally have everything i need know including my rusty crank, that they wanted me to ship back for exchange F U so then id have to order new bearings and wait 2 weeks go to hell.

WOW thats crazy its DSM graveyard seriously usually they are really good about it. That insane of course ive never had them do work ive just ordered a built shortblock for someone from them.

O BUYING stuff was the smooth part... Always answered the phone, very polite, bla bla bla... then when the shit didn't show and i called back i felt like i was treated different... they would tell me they would call back... and then never did... i could go on and on... .i REALLY gave them a chance but not again.... i will go through someone else for my 5k turbo build... this was there trial i spent 1.5k with them and regret even spending $5 of that.

I sent back my pistons and even though all the shit they put me though... they are charging a 20% restock fee.... i should be like dude, that is totally not fair.

DO NOT BUY FROM DSM GRAVEYARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that is all my fellow dsm tuners and builders.

From what I was told on the phone They dont do any machine work themselves, they send it off or have it shipped to them by a machine shop.
Deff didnt sound like they do inhouse work, YET the same guy told me he HUNG my pistons himself??? WTF

Top it all off im ready to build my other DSM right meow.... but yeh not going through them
