Newbie here :) I was going to ask you guys, how much will you pay for a 92 gsx with 124000 miles and no engine only tranny. The car is in good shape from the inside and it's been kept outside for 2 years. The guys that is selling it, wants $800 for it. What do you guys think??

If he can guarntee you the tranny shifted good when it was running, I would offer 600 cash. :)

I want to offer him $500, cause i want a cyclone engine and tranny swap from ardperformance.com. But I'll see  Thanks.

Well offer him $500 and see what he says. If he says no find a middle point that you are both happy with.

where is a place where I can get a gsx cyclone engine with tranny for cheap?

Don't get a "cyclone" engine. The only thing that makes it different from the usd 4g63 is it has a crappy cyclone intake manifold. If you do a search on cyclone you will find that it's just a pain in the ass trying to get the thing to work. Find a good USD 6-bolt. You might want to think about going with a switchable tranny from a gvr-4 though :thumb:

Thanks Sk8er07999! I was searching but I never got to finish reading. I'm going to look for the us engine and do the tunning guide. :thumb: :dsm:

Good new guys! I bought the car for $650 and like I said it's a 92 eclipse gsx with 124000 miles. I mentioned that the engine was missing, it's not missing it's just all apart. But the pistons are messed up. The car has everything, tranny, alternator pulleys, white exterior and red interior. Pretty good condtions, has sunroof, still has the stock intercooler wheels, tires had lots of thread. So friday it's the big day. Now shopping for parts is whats coming up :dsm: :D
