Ok, I recently picked up my first DSM. I thought my engine and rear end would be pretty cut and dry, because manufacture date was JUN 91 for a 91 model car. It appears to have NO performance modifications ever and has only 116,000 miles so I would hope nothing catastrofic has ever happened (IE: the rear should not have needed replacing)
So I go to check, just for fun, and find that I do indeed have the 6-bolt engine (oil pan flares out a bit, not in). No surprises here. Then I look at the rear end and see 4 bolts at the back end of the drive shaft. Unless I mis read this means I have a 4 bolt rear, no?
On top of that I have ABS!
Is it possible someone replaced the rear at some point or is this an out of date manufacture deal?
Also, will the ABS cause any conflicts? I know there was supposed to be a conlict in 90-91 which is why they offered LSD or ABS. If there might be problems I would be inclined to try to disable ABS, because I never liked the feature anyway.
Thoughts?
