6 bolt 4bolt rear?

I have a question about my 1992 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX. It was built in September of 1991 does this mean I have a 6 bolt engine and a 4 bolt rear or a 7 bolt engine and a 4 bolt rear.

With those build dates should be 6/4. Just stick your head under the car. You can visually verify both in under a minute.

Mine's july 91 and a 6/4 combo, so I'd put money that yours is a 6/4 as well.

for 3/4 bolt, just look where your rear axle connects to the hub, there's either 3 or 4 bolts fastening the axle to the cup.

If its got a hump and the bottom of the front case its 7 bolt
4/3 is easy enough to check
