ok heres my problem my car will start and run great, shift perfect, i can drive for about a mile at any speed and all of a sudden the car will like lock up almost its really hard to get going, and when im driving it seems like smoke will come out from the driver side wheel well? i really dont know what it could be im kind of at a loss? When its locked up it will idle fine just sitting there.

I dont think thats it, tranny and motor were just rebuilt. but if u leave it when it locks up after awhile you can start it up and drive fine but after a mile or so it will do the same thing, i was thinking mabe clutch related problem my clutch pedal is kinda hard to press down

Have you done a recent brake job on the car? From the bleak explanation it sounds like you have a caliper with bad slides in it. IE. the smoke out of the wheel and the dragging feeling.

Once you get the car moving, say 25 mph or so. If you press the clutch in does it still drag and come to a stop quickly? If you put in in neutural will it drag and slow down just as fast?

What is the smoke like, a little, a lot? Does it smell like burning rubber, or sweet like burning tranny fluid or gear lube?

Yes car does slow down quickly in gear and neutral, but there was just enough smoke to come out it wasnt alot but smelled almost like an electrical fire

You need to jack the car up and spin the wheels, shake them around and beat on them to see if anything unusual happens. If all checks out ok then I'd say it's time to take that tranny back to the shop who rebuilt it, cause you shouldn't be slowing down quickly in neutral or with the clutch pushed in, there's def. a problem there.
