I bought a 94 Eagle Talon all wheel drive turbo and a running 91 eagle talon turbo awd for 2000.00 . I want to put the 91 long block in the car . What problems will I run into ? I have been reaading up for around two months now and still dont have it all down , will it only be the cam position sensor ? Can I run the 94 sensor on the 91 head? The 94 has a blown motor , totally overheated melted the spark plug wire cover and upper timing belt cover to the head . The spark plug wires also melted into the head!!!! Got one of them out with much effort to find 20 psi cranking pressure . What do I need to know to make this swap easier on me ? Thanks

Iam going to assume that I have it all down and it will swap straight across ?

OK, I did this same exact thing just opposite of you! I put a 92 motor in my 91! I had to swap out the flywheel for a 7 bolt and that was basically it. You may have to make changes as you go but it was not too bad. Since you have a spare car there you should have all the parts you need.

I did the same swap, I have 94 gsx got a jdm 6bolt. If you get a jdm you have to change the intake manifold to the u.s version. also have to change the cam angle sensor to the u.s one, also 6bolt flywheel, and I think the temp. thermostate housing has to be swapped.
