1G 90 shifter cables 91+ trans

Ok so i have a 90 talon tsi awd i bought a trans from a 91-94 car so its the 23 spline not the 22 and im possibly putting the car together today and wanna know if my 90 shifter cables will work i dont really see why not but figured i would ask as the car is 40mins away at moms house thanks

They wont work, 1990 model dsms have different transmissions, shift cables, and shifter bases. Make sure you grab and swap all of these parts from the donor vehicle.
