Can someone please tell me which side of the filter housing, for a 90, feeds the oil through the cooler and which side recieves the oil after it's been cooled. I believe the left (front of the car, if looking at it from the driver side) pumps the oil and the right side (rear side of the car) recieves the oil but i'm not positive. If someone could confirm this or point me in the direction of an answer i'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Correct, it doesn't matter for cooling purposes, but if i can use gravity to assist oil flowing from top to bottom of the cooler i would like to do so. I'd rather not put any extra strain on the filter housing by pumping the oil up through the resistance of the cooler. So to make it a little easier i'd like to pump oil to the top of the cooler and have it flow downward.
