90* lambo's or Turbo swap?

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

Man that thing looks fast enough, I'd definately go with Lambo doors. Since it's a show car, have you ever thought about doing frontend conversion, or a boost pack. Salami seems to help too, at least on show cars on the east caost. I'd stay away from the turbo, completely unoriginal.

Sk8shorty01 I hear you constantly talking about your lambo system. Do you have any customers on dsmtuners with a 2g dsm that is using one of them? No matter what you say, it is very hard for us to wholeheartedly try something that you only claim. (giving constructive criticism, not against you). Maybe get one of your customers to post up on this site with reviews, many pictures, and installation instructions. That would probably help your reputation a lot instead of just singing the praise in your own posts. (only some of em you do, not saying you are blatantly). If you dont have any customers willing to do that, or have any (2g AND 1g) customers (yet) then maybe you should consider "sponsoring" a dsmer on this site that will do reviews, pictures, and also advertise for your company. Many dsmers would be more likely to buy a product that they have seen or heard compliments about than just the owner talking about his own product. For a vertical kit especially because fitment problems are KNOWN to be bad on a lot of kits, I would personally have to see one or install one on a friend's to consider buying it. Also make sure that person that you sponsor is a reliable person and will represent your company well. No offense, but most of this forum would not take a riced-out eclipse owner's advice on which parts work best. I know I dont trust most of the guys on here that post with body kits and neons and everything (there are exceptions). Anyways just trying to make a helpful suggestion as ive looked at your kits but there is no way I would send money your way not ever hearing a review or seeing one from your company.

So you know i have been trying to sponsor a DSM but nobody wants to. I have posted on numerous sites saying we are looking for a new ride to sponsor. We have put these kits on a few different cars, i have the kit on mine, but most of the cars we have done are not DSM's. I have a good amount of people that praise this kit, but they are not DSM owners so they cannot post on this site. Also when i was saying not to go 90 degree get 75 i was not saying to buy mine, i was saying buy a 75 kit or you will be disappointed because it sucks trying to open and close a door that you cant reach when you are sitting down. Also dont get a cheap kit off ebay because they suck, they dont line up, they move around and never work right. Buy a real kit or dont get one because its not worth the 400 bucks for some cheap knock off piece of junk that doesnt work (not bashing anyone just saying they are not worth it at all). I praise my kits because i hand build them, and i inspect the fitment on every kit i make, how many other places do you know that do that? I am not a vendor on this site so i can not promote my business by looking for sponsors or anything, but there is a sponsorship link on our website so if no DSM owners click the link, that is not something i have control over. I build the kits for people that trust i make a quality kit, if someone doesnt thats fine, im not pressuring people into getting MY kit, get any kit you want, doesnt matter to me, its your car remember, not mine (again not bashing just saying not my choice).

Thought i would add on to this. I happen to have many big companies looking at my car for sponsorship, and i have spent close to 12k on my car, and yes i know what im talking about. You dont have to take my advise, its your car do what you will, but i wont be the one paying for a 400 dollar hunk of metal. Also, riced out? My car is running roughly 250 whp and its still not even tuned correctly yet (thats pretty good for a show car). I dont know why a body kit is considered riced out, look at every racing division there is, they have aero packages on their car, its the same thing. I am not bashing anyone with this comment, im just stating my opinion on the subject.

You took my comment completely the wrong way. When I mean riced out, I mean cars with odd-fitting body-kits large wings, and then they think they are fast for it. I did not say you didnt know what you were tlaking about, I was giving advice. A show car is a show car, a race car a race car, but rice is rice.

However, there is no performance advantage to a aluminum bench wing and body kits on the eclipse. A stock eclipse has a coefficient of drag of .29 and 95% of the aftermarket body ktis have large openings and are very wide and non-smooth. This increases drag and increases lift allowing more air under the car with their large openings. A large aluminum wing also increases drag and is incredibly pointless with a fwd, I highly doubt 95% of eclipse owners with aluminum wings have ever reached speeds where increased downforce outweighs the drag and weight it provides.

Therefore I consider rice those kids that think they increase performance when they do not. As I Said there are exceptions to rules such as show cars that owners do not brag and are not ignorant. Its like getting a vertical door kit and saying it somehow increases performance. It does not and to say it would or that a stock eclipse with vertical doors, body kit and aluminum wing is a "Race" car, I hear way too much of that in my town and therfore I have a particular aversion to bodykits and aluminum wings.

The wing does help on the freeway and improves on gas milage. belive it or not...

Do you have numbers to back the mileage up?

Honestly, I think the double wing, bi-plane look is kind of goofy. I'd go with one wing or the oher (stock or after market).

In all honestly, go for it kid. Do the Lambo doors. I have a 93 GS that I'm working on and looking at your work of art just makes me want to hit the garage now. I also have an AWD that I'm rebuilding da motor in but I love my 1g just as well. Let me know if you get a discount on da doors as I want them myself ;)

Looks like it needs a lot of help to go faster...Id say finish your show car look with the lambo doors.

If you already have a "Go" car, keep this one show. :thumb: Otherwise you might end up damaging it.

Then maybe throw the extra turbo on it for looks and just never boost high ;) Should be cheap to do if you have the parts lying around.

Man what is up with your car, It looks like a crazy old lady designed your interior purple speakers, and flower warped door panels?

I like the air box alot, Clean up the front end and make the 20 head lights you have up there look a little better and look decent...

But that Air Box you made is really nice!

So you travel at over 100mph all the time to justify using a wing like that? ("And your fwd street car")yes the wing helps but your not on a road course needing that much down force.

And wing makes more drag and adds down force, ssooooooooooooooo you get less Gas since there is more drag ROFL

I dont like body kids, but the side skirts are lined up nice and look good but why the hell didnt you take the STOCK WING OFF THE CAR?????????/

Actually, I got rid of the purple. I started doing all the interior with black and purple and didn't like it. The fabric has bamboo and apple blossoms, ie, Japanese art. I thought it fit. I have matching black fabric on the center pannels and painted the speaker covers and interior are all red and black now.

But this isn't my thread... :)

The headlights do still need a little work, I want to get a new bumper cover and blend it all together a lot smoother. I had to yank the air box so I can build another one for my 3G MAS that is going in this weekend. I'll post up pics of the new one. That old box was a PITA to pull out, especially with a hard intake pipe.

I'd like to throw in my two cents,

honestly, I'd go with a set of Struts and Springs.

AGX and Intrax to be exact. I say intrax because they drop you car to the floor, it's more a show spring then a true performance spring, even though there is some added performance benefits.

My 2 cents...

If making your car faster is even the slightest bit questionable for you, most likely you're going to be happier with the Lambo doors.

To some people driving around with a hood ornament consisting of fecal matter would be just fine as long as there's a 11sec timeslip stuck to it. (this would include me)

If I owned that car and had some money laying around to spend on it...I'd get some chromed out 22's and call it the day.

Do what's going to make you happy when you drive your car.

aight ya airheads..
the car is slamed and w/ the kit 18's wont fit on it..
and the speakers are blue, w light glow everywere. I'm already on the flyer for MM street racing, HIN, Streets of fury, and ESPN2.
I was only trying to see what other people would do if they had a option to modify there car. so ya know stop playa hatein and have some respect for a fellow DSM'er. and if ya dont like it get of my thread, cause i be repersentin more than any of ya DSM'ers on here...
DSM-4-life..

Man , screw the BS

the guy came and wanted some opinions.
and all you guys did was bash a fellow dsm'r

i mean some people just need help deciding,
my opinion go with the lambo doors, it will make the car stick out more.
beacuse you already got a car for GO. and this is the SHOW !

Well thanks and big ups. to most of the DSM's that dont have a honda stuck up there butt, and have to playa hate or something....
If you look at my profile a little closer U will see I also own a 1g AWD Turbo that has been upgraded, now I have extra turbo parts to put on my show car...
Also I consider my car to be the rare'st around in the west due to all the modifications I have done to make the car so personal, and winning trophys for it and big show's in Vegas and Cali.... I would like to see the day that someone out there around the west has a 1g as clean as this one, and love it as much elbow grease as I do.. And dont worry cause the second 1g is on the way to fast as hell and a little show to support it...

This forum topic was just to see what other people would like to do, if they had these options to trick out or make there car fast...

are you fu ck in kidding me? why do you gotta type like'dis and say stuff like 'playa hatin' 'buster-ass #####s' 'why u trippin on me homey dog'

i mean really...

Uhh, who's the airhead? The guy quoted me and was referring to my gallery and car. :tease: WTF I haven't seen any pictures of an air-intake box in your gallery either... ;)

^^^^ ROFL ROFL ROFL ROFL ROFL ROFL ROFL :tease:

Seriously dude, someone made a comment, I responded and mentioned it wasn't my thread and thought it would end there, and it should have.

I offered you some constructive criticism early on trying to be helpful. Don't get all bitter and twisted because someone talked about *gasp* somone elses car in an appearance thread. Sheesh... ;)
