Hello I just purchased a 1996 gst spyder awd swap, this is my first turbo car. the car runs great but when i got on the freeway it seemed like it didn't want to go faster than 80mph. It has 16g turbo and boost control which is set low should i turn the boost up a notch and see if that helps thanks

We need more info on the car.. is the cel on? does the turbo spool?, have you done a BLT? Compression test? Does it has a boost gauge??
Don't turn up the boost without supporting mods. Tha car itself should go over 80mph with stock wastegate pressure.
Why do you want to go ove 80mph anyways LOL.

Got any pics of the car?

You bought an uber modified car? Do you know alot about these specifically? The whole deal sounds sketchy. I would do a boost leak test (BLT), leakdown test (engine condition), then hit the general maintenance including the timing belt. Give it a real good look over for sad hack jobs and the like

Yeah its pretty smooth the and quite turbo spools fine, no ticks has no problems getting to that speed but when it does it seems a bit shaky. Accelerates from 50-80 really strong but once it gets there it doesn't feel right like it doesn't want to go any faster

LOL it does have a cel light on it has injen intake recirculating greddy bov greddy fmic, 3in straight pipe exhaust downpipe back and an aftermarket header

see what codes the cel is throwing. also do a boost leak test, and check your compression and oil pressure to get an idea of your cars overall health. then tackle basic maitinence(timing belt, water pump etc..) before turning the boost up. but as stated before, your car shuld go well over 80mph even bone stock.
