Today I was driving back home and my car was past the empty mark. My car drove fine until I got down it and let the rpms get to 7000 on accident when I normally let it reach 6500 rpms before I shift out. Seconds later the car died. It didn't backfire or make any noise which didn't sound internal. It sounded like it flooded itself out which was after it died completely then the sound kicked in. I got it home, put gas in it cus I figured the tank was dry. I tried starting it and it just turned over and did not attempted to crank. It still sound like it had compression and like it normally sounds before it starts. The engine is a fresh rebuild with only about 4500 miles.

So let me get this straight. You always let the engine run up to 6k+? If you were below the empty mark, you should have been driving to conserve gas. Lets go over the things you should check. An engine only needs three things to run. Fuel, spark, and compression.

Are you getting fuel to the injectors?
Are you getting spark?
What kind of numbers are you getting on a compression check?

Go look at those things and report back here. Some fuel pumps dont like to be ran dry so theres a chance that you burnt your pump up.
