I finally get my 6bolt in to my car after 4mouths and now it does not want to start. To take you from the begin i got a 6bolt long block from the junkyard for a 100 dollars and decide i wanted to rebuilt it so i ended up getting eagle rods Ross pistons .20 over and all of the machining work done and i got the engine together i used a 1g rebuilt head and followed magnusmotorsports write up on how to do the swap. Now my problem is when i go to start the car it cranks over but DOES not start and there is no spark. What i need to know is the firing order 4321on the head coming from the passenger side and on the coil 3124 or what could the problem be is t in the grounds in the wiring (i did the wiring my self) Please help me i don't know why it doesn't want to start

Step 1:

Check all of your electrical connections (wiring, harness, etc)

Step 2:

Check all of your electrical connections (wiring, harness, etc)

Step 3:

Check all of your electrical connections (wiring, harness, etc)

Step 4:

Remove your CAS from the head, but leave the harness plugged in. Turn the key to ON position and come back to the CAS. Spin the blade with your hand, everytime you turn the blade, it will fire either ignition coil 1&4 or 2&3. You will also hear the fuel pump turn on momentarily every 'click'. If it DOES NOT click, you did something wrong when you did the magnus 1gina2g wire job.

Firing order is reversed when you put a 1G engine in a 2G car.

stock: coil pack : 4-1-2-3, spark plugs 4-3-2-1-tbelt

swapped, coilpack 3-2-1-4, spark plugs 4-3-2-1- tbelt

Report back when finished.

oka i just came back inside from trying that my spark plugs are in the right order but when i take the CAS out and spin it i hear no clicks at all so do you think it is somewhere in my wiring

hey body im your solution. i just finished mine 2 weeks ago after 7 month puting everything togeter, and i found the same issue, firstmake sure the wires of the cam sensor are matched right ok. second do the swap in the wires that hook the ECU ,threres only 4 wires you have to swap, and to end this thread ,swap both blue wires in the coil conection, and problem solve.

i have already changed the wires that go to the ecu now which ones do i have to swap that go to the coil pack

Yes, open that harness that you just created and redo the wiring. Chances are you probably crossed a wire somewhere. Take your time and do one wire at a time.

Road Race Engineering have several harnessess and diagrams.( I have made 2 and not messed up yet, pretty simple) As for the coil, keep all spark plugs the same on the coil and on the motor, take the coil plug find the two blue wires and switch them, and all is good. This way you or anyone else can redo them without extensive online research, same as stock!
