Ok guys ive spent the last few days getting the motor i have a 95 GSX with a 91 4g63 swaped everything out followed the guide on the forums as to putting it in. Well I got all of the vac. lines hooked up yesterday and tried to turn the motor over w/o the spark plugs on there just to build up the oil pressure a bit and i get nothing the starter didnt spin at all. I left it alone last night and started working on it tonight couldnt get anything, so I started searching the forums and found that the ground wire does not go on the starter but the starter mounting bolts, so I tried that and still nothing both the + and the switched wire is connected and im pretty sure that the started is still good (it came off of my 7 bolt which started fine every time)

I need some help quick on how to fix this problem, I have been without a car for 4 months and am tired of catching rides from eveyrone and really wanting to drive the car again.

thanks in advance

Check all of your grounds. Make sure you have a the positive voltage starter wire and the solenoid wire on the correct connectors in the back.

I did, I tired it the way it was on there then went back switched the sides and still nothing...and I know this starter is good

1) Is the fuel pump/fuel lines hooked up? If so, dont try to start the motor with the spark plugs out.

2) There is a wire on the tranny harness, that comes out just behind the back of the motor. It is black with a yellow stripe, it has a white harness plug on it. Search for that, and plug it in.
99.9% that is why your starter isnt turning over.

Not cranking at all, did anyone try to hot wire the starter directly by passing the solenoid power source? Theres only one wire that activates the solenoid.
