I'm looking to installl a nice wet shot on my car. I'm still on stock block, arp headstuds, factory headgasket. My current mods are stock 6 bolt block, arp headstuds,stock head,tdo6 20g ported and clipped,FIC 650cc injectors,apexi afc,walbro 255 fp,Bm fpr modifier, full 3" exhaust, 3" HRC o2 eliminator,tial 38mm external wastegate, turbochargers.com FMIC,ACT 2600,magnecore wires, MSD DIS-2, greddy types bov,extereme mbc,plus more........I need some recommendations for installing 60-75 shot wet. What safety switches do i need..window switch...etc? What kinda gains should i expect when i install the nitrous and full hks 272 cams? Will it change my turbo's spooling characteristics? what gears whould you normal spray? thanks for helping

Well Raheem, I would do something about the HG. You should know 1st hand how nitrous is with the gaskets, especially the wastegate flange gasket!

Reccomendations? Buy a new kit, get a purge and a heater if it doesnt come with one, 5 degrees base or whatever you have it at now,not much safc work. You will be toying a bit with the fuel jets, colder plugs gapped to about .28 (especially with the msd disII). Safety switches? Arm switch, purge switch, wot switch. Unless you would rather use the dis II to arm at an rpm via pills but thats not needed at all.

Well, more gains than what you have now i would like to think. Turbocharged cars benefit more than na cars when it comes to the bottle. If you spray a 50 shot, you may very well see considerably more than 50 to the wheels on the dyno. This is not the case for NA cars. Anyone who reads this and disagrees do a search or do it yourself and take it to a dyno and you will find out for yourself.

LOL well ide like to think it would, especially if spray before you reach full boost. OMG
also with the 50 shot expect a bit of a boost spike, not much however, ide say about 1-2 psi with your setup. Low shot (50) low boost and work ur way up tuning the car(without touching the safc too much unless you run pump gas/ race gas on 2 separate tuning "sessions"

What are you looking to do? Improve mph/ et? 60 ft. Since I know you and know what you are trying to accomplish i would spray 2nd 3rd and 4th all above say 3600 rpms or so.


All of these things I basically gave you an answer for the other night when you asked me. I guess you didn't believe me or just wanted to get a second opinion. A quick search would have yeilded all of this info without people seeing you will be on the bottle later on, but like you said, no secrets so im sure you aren't worried about that.

i say:
colder plugs at .28 or so
Dont retard timing unless your running advanced now
50 shot-75 shot
bottle heater (no torches) and purge
tune your way up in boost and nitrous jets
tune your way down in fuel jets to be safe (you can log, and you'll know when the fogger is rich for the most part, trust me)

my hg isn't the prob. I never bled my coolant system of air bubbles since i recently flushed it out.I'm looking to improve my cars overall performance...60ft's 1/8th mile all around. I'd really like to get more power down low with it....oh yeah second opinions are always good...thanks dante
 
if your gonna spray it,spray it 2nd,3rd and 4th.First gear u can too,but overrev can do some damage on the bottle.

There is many stuff u can do,nos sells nitrous switchs that will shut off at a desired boost.Or you can just get a button,sleeper style or mounted onto the steering wheel,the greddy boost controller button works well..I used my horn,i like that!!!

i have my msd dis2 .....for rev control. i'm gonna use msd window switch for safety...and wot switch
 
awwww this is so cute! LOL isnt this better than bitching about sh1t talk and street racing? Run again and get it over with, both off the bottle or both on! (sorry for the rest of the dsm toonerz here that have no idea what we are talkin about)
 
And what i mean about "doing something about the head gasket is" its an oem gasket almost like felpro, i would sleep better at night knowing you have a cometic or a metal gasket in there when spraying rather than oem.
 
i'm using an oem hg with arp headstuds tq 100 ft lbs......
