I have a 91 Talon TSI FWD, and was wondering how do you find out if its a 6 bolt or whatever. I don't know about the 6 bolt stuff, but I've been reading alot about it in the forums, and I would like to know what it is and how do I know if I have it.
Thanks,

6 Bolt - is how many bolts they use to hold the flywheel or flex plate to the crankshaft. This is just an easy way of knowing between the type of 4G63. But if you dont seperate the trans from the engine to check, then the oil pan. There are 6 and 7 bolt engines. They used 6 bolts on 90-94 and 7's on 95-99.

wrong 6bolt 1990-1992 (about April-may) then from there on to 1994 is 7bolt which is a bit better then the 2G 7bolt for some reasons.
