Well after the swap I had Rm so I pot modded this cured the RM but opened up a new problem now. Even wtih the POT turned off if I get into it more then 1/4 throttle my car sputters coughs and hesistaes alot. Watching O2 voltage it seems to bounce really quick between stonich and mid rich. It does this when you are into the gas any harder then 1/4.

Now that being said. If you start in first and redline it no hesistaion then second maybe slightly around 3500-4000 then redline then a slight one in third to this is only if redlining it. If I take and just roll into it slow as soon as I start to build boost around 10 PSI it will studder and start this again. Now my car does this with the POT turned on or off or unhooked.

So I have a couple questions one I don't have an AFPR but its on its way right now would this cause the problem? Or at least start. Im sure everyone is going boost leak nope I have a checker and at 15 PSI nothing leaks at all I had a small TB leak before which I thought was causing it but not so I have no leaks.

I am at the point now of if this AFPR doesn't fix it do I want to sing 600 bucks more into my car for DSMLINK or not and will it even cure the problem or will I need to sinnk additional funds into it to make it right?

If anyone can give me some insight I would appreciate it.

Well after doing alot of reading and searching on the board here I decided to try some spark plugs. I went wtih straight B7ES plugs and it 85% fixed my car. It doesn't stunble at all now running 1-3 at all but if you take it and cruise for a while and roll into it, the car will studder a bit and clear out. Anyone think maybe I should try 6's?
 
My 6-bolt does this as well, but only when its boosting at anything over 1/2 throttle. My car sounds like it has studder box when it starts breaking up. I've also tested for leaks and havent found anything. I'm going to try the BPR7es plugs as well to see if that helps.
 
Dsmlink should fix this problem. I have a 6bolt as well and i never had any problems
 
Well the Br7es seem to have cured my car for the most part. I have an AFPR on the way which I think will cure the rest of the problems. I have the baro wire mod does as well but it seems to not cause to much of a problem. I have it barely at all adding any resistance to the system.

After the plugs though my car definatly woke up and runs alot better then it did. I guess start there and see what happens. :thumb:

Thanks, I'll see what the plugs do.

I don't have the random misfire problem, it crusies smooth as butter and haven't gotten any CELs, its just when I get on it really hard.
 
Thats exactly what mine was doing. Smooth as butter in cruise but when you wanted to play then it would miss.
 
OK well after lots of screwing around and trying stuff I have fixed my car thought an update is in order.

To try and fix my studdering problem I have tried the following

New Plugs
New Plug Wires
Tuning
AFPR thought it was rich

After all that I tried the coils and low and behold that's what it was. I have a 2G mind you but the 1G coils also fit. So I called around and found a brand new set at the dealershop 250 canadian and 250 canadian for the transistor I thoguht it was one of the two. Any ways said F that and called the wreckers. First placed I called a bud of mine had a set from a 90 Turbo AWD so I said what the hell and got em figuring I could mcgiver them to work or something. Well I just took all the old wiring off the and bolted my 2g harness onto the coils and my problem is now solved.

So if anyone is having a misfire or backfire missing etc from 3.5k to about 5k it could be your coils. Also if you have a 1G or 2G looks like either coils will fit but keep in mind its not a bolt on I did have to modify the coil bracket because the 1G coil is a little larger.
