having problems with timing belt side motor mount. the one off my 7 bolt doent fit. can i use the 6 bolt mount or do i have to fab my 7 bolt mount to fit? i was told that this isnt a hard swap to do but everything seems to be different. i was told all i have to do is machine the head bolt holes on my 2g head and rewire a sensor. is that that all or is there more? please help i want to get this done by monday.

On my swap I just cut up my mount to fit. Though the swap is straight-forward, it is not just a simple drag and drop operation. I followed this guide for the most part, it links to how to modify your 2g mount to fit:
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-engine-fuel/152329-how-do-6-bolt-swap-what-you-need.html

the water lines, specifically the lower one, were a pain n the ass because neither gen works properly. Also I ended up with some jdm stuff on my swap (guy I got the 6bolt from swapped a jdm 6bolt, has a funky water neck and some other random fun) and that was fun to work around. The guide above should help, you'll get it done, but there's no magic to it, just some work to make it all fit.

You could have searched it. BUT sometimes people dont wanna search..LOL Anyways you have to modify the 2g mount bracket to fit onto the 6bolt. You have to cut a piece of the bracket for it to clear the water pump.
