After researching, I still have a few questions.

1. Do you have to use the 2g 02 sensor? The one on the six bolt is a circular plug with 2 white, a gray and a black wire. The 2g 02 sensor is square with 2 blacks a blue and a white. Can it be spliced (Blacks to whites, blue to gray, and white to black)?

2. The 6 bolt was AWD, the 2g FWD transmission requires a FWD 6 bolt flywheel correct? What is the started bracket that needs to be modified? the shield it sits against?

3. When using the 1g throttle cables, do you use the 1g "box" or 2g? Which cruise control unit to use?

4. On the 6 bolt thermostat housing- I understand the 2g sensors need to be swapped. I did the top one (A/C Temp switch?). Does the spade connector on the bottom (temp sending?) need to be swapped they seem the same. Then there are two left which don't correspond to the 2g?

Thanks

1. Use whatever o2 sensor plugs in easily to your wiring harness.

2. You will need to match the flywheel with the motor as well as the tranny. When doing the swap, you'll want to use a 2g starter mounting bracket.

3. You shouldn't have to swap throttle cables when swapping a 6 bolt into a 2g.

4. Again, never heard of swapping coolant temp sensors when doing the 6 bolt swap.

Do you have a 2g or are you swapping a 6 bolt into your '93 GSX?

Sorry my profile is not updated. Its a 6 bolt that was in the 93gsx to a 97gst.

"2. You will need to match the flywheel with the motor as well as the tranny. A 2g FWD will always use a 7 bolt FWD flywheel. When doing the swap, you'll want to use a 2g starter mounting bracket."

So this means i do need a 6 bolt FWD flywheel right? to clarify i have a 6 bolt awd flywheel trying to mate with a 2g fwd transmission. If i'm right, this does not work.

Also, which clutch can be used? i have the 2g fwd clutch and the 1g awd clutch. Neither?

Incorrect. A 2g FWD flywheel will not fit a 6bolt motor. He needs the 1g FWD 6bolt flywheel.

awdclipse. You need to use all of your 2g sensors. You aren't swapping the wiring harness, just the motor. All of your 2g sensors should bolt into the 6bolt equipment.

FWD turbo clutch is the same for a 1g & 2g.

Thanks for the help.

I understand i am using the 2g sensors and not the harness. So the 1g has 2 more sensors in the thermostat hosuing than a 2g, so just leave those two sensors in and they dont connect anywhere on the 2g harness? am i missing something?
