ok i blew my 7 bolt so i bought a 6 bolt got my 2g pistons geting machined into my 1g rods and geting the block cleaned up and the crank cut (it was a little sracthed) now my questions is should i bother and modify a 2g oil pump and the block so that i can use my crank position sensor or should i run reference from my cam sens?

First off, 4g63 cranks are not meant to be cut. If it was scratched so bad that it needed to be cut, it should be replaced with another unit.

The 1g in a 2g method for adopting a 2g front case and oil pump to a 6-bolt block is not as simple as just wiring in the 1g CAS. The few people I've heard of swap the front case have had constant oil leak problems, not to mention it was a headache to do.

Your 2g currently operates on 2 sensors, a cam angle sensor (behind the intake cam) and a crank angle sensor behind the crank pulley. When you do the swap listed below, you use the 1g cam angle sensor to output both the cam and crank signals to the 2g ECU. I would just swap over the whole motor and use this method for wiring in a 1g CAS.

New members are not allowed to post want to buy/for sale ads in the classifieds section, but you can still browse through and contact members that may have the item you need for sale.

There are some online sources you can pick up a new crank from, but I think you will find the best deal from our members.

I'm sorry but rules on this site for the classifieds are f*cked up.(new people should be able to post there stuff).

This is to prevent our classifieds from turning into what DSMTrader turned into. We don't want random scammers registering onto our site clogging our classifies with spam. We want to make our best effort to ensure safe transactions for everyone by making sure classified users are dedicated members.

If we didn't have so many spammers out there, this wouldn't become a common practice. I know its not fun for some people, but if you prove yourself to be a dedicated member than the privileges will open up for you.
